Pumpkin Time

Hello... I'm Standing!

So, at the beginning of the month, Mom came home from work and Dad told her that I was sleeping. She went in to check on me to find me standing in my crib. She rushed to make some covers for the bars since I had decided to also chew on the bar when standing. So yes, I've graduated to the standing stage! I pretty much pull myself up on EVERTHING now. Cabinets, coffee table, entertainment center, doors, chairs, anything I can get close enough to. Mom and Dad decided that I needed some new standing toys. Mom busted out the last of the Target gift cards from her baby showers, and after Dad made fun of her for keeping them around for so long, we picked out some cool things!

A couple weeks later, I was down for the count when I got the swine flu. A yucky 102 fever plagued me for a few days followed by my first throwing up yuckyness and finally after 5 days or so, my body was strong enough to fight it off and I felt much better.

This month I was having a really wierd sleeping schedule and being sick totally threw me off my game even further. Mommy and Daddy quickly realized that you just can't get too comfortable with your routine cause it can change in an instant. They were very lucky to have a baby sleeping through the night early on, but this month I had a whole new plan. I was deciding to wake up around 1am every night very unhappy and wanting to be up fr quite a while before finally crashing again. By the end of the month, I had developed a pretty bad execema rash on my back that was spreading to my legs, tummy and head. Lydia suggested a gluten and dairy-free diet change. So far, so good! I am back to my normal sleeping habits and the rash has cleared. Mom says that's why we pay her so much money!

While I was sick, we missed our big planned trip to the pumpkin patch. So, when I got better Mom and Dad took me to Nash's. I really like all the pumpkins. I really liked chewing on the stems the most. Who would have guessed???

A couple days later, Nonnie Cheryl and Grandpa John came to help us carve the pumpkins. Mom did 2 of them, and Dad was really particular about his Giants Pumpkin. Mommy let me stand in her big one, it was kinda slimy on my toes and it made me laugh.

We went to Roseville to visit some friends for the weekend i on the 24th. I had lots of fun playing with my new friend Peyton (21 months) and all of her cool toys. Dad and Brett had fun playing with the toys too when they built a giant tower out of Mega Blocks. (sorry, no pictures cause Mom forgot the camera when Dad didn't get off work as planned... Mom says that's the story of our life)
Finally, it was Halloween and I got to wear my totally awesome Pickle Spitz costume made by my Nonnie Cheryl. For those of you who don't know the story... when I was born, I blew bubbles and spit a lot. Mom started calling me Spitz. My dad really like the Dill Pickle flavor of Spitz sunflower seeds. So, they started calling me Pickle Spitz. Then Nonnie said she could make me a costume
and it turned out AWESOME!!! Mommy was a sunflower and Dad was the sun and the rain (everything she needs to grow the little Spitz) that's what his shirt said.

.
Me and Aiden had matching after costume skeleton costume pjs. They even glow in the dark.

We'll be back for another update after Turkey Time!
